为了加强基层统计工作,切实而有效的提高统计资料质量,改进统计工作,我们从一九五四年第四季度开始在全省重点地区和重点企业单位有计划有步骤地开展了统计资料质量检查工作。开展前首先依托太原市在工业、基本建设、贸易等方面选择了四个单位进行了试点,取得经验后,于十一月展开了第一批的检查,至今年一月先后结束。共检查了九个厂矿、七个贸易单位、四个基本建设单位和八个县、十二个乡。从这次检查中,发现了许多问题,特别是集中暴露出我们统计数字错误混乱的严重情况,警惕和教育了干部,提高了干部对统计工作的认识,开始引起他们对这一工作的注意和重视,不少单位并初步建立和健全了统计工作制度,对基层统计工作推进了一步。目前除各地在这一次
