紫铜及含锌量低的黄铜,电阻点焊的可焊性差。紫铜由于导热系数大,薄紫铜板点焊时常用钨、钼等高电阻的材料制作电极,一般将钨或钼块镶嵌在镉铜等铜合金电极上。电极形状加工成球面形或圆锥形。点焊板厚小于2mm的黄铜板时,球面电极的工作表面半径为75mm;板厚大于2mm时,则为150mm。对于厚度不同的黄铜板点焊接头,在厚板一侧建议用平端面的圆锥形电极,平端面直径5~8mm。
