伴随着持续的经济“滞胀”症,西方世界正面临四十年来最严重的失业问题。 失业率近百分之十 近两年来,美国的失业人数不断增加,目前已达一千一百多万,失业率超过百分之十,这是第二次世界大战后的最高纪录。失业情况在不同地区、不同年龄、不同民族中差别很大。失业率超过百分之十的州有十八个,在这些地区平均每五个人就有一人失去了工作。黑人的失业率更高达百分之十八,大大超过白人的百分之七点九。青年的失业情况尤其严重,他们的失业率现已超过百分之二十。黑人青年处境更惨,失业率竟高达百分之四十六,几乎每两个人就有一人失业。
With sustained economic stagnation, the western world is facing the worst unemployment problem in more than 40 years. Unemployment rate of nearly 10% In the past two years, the number of unemployed in the United States has been increasing. Unemployment is very different in different regions, ages and ethnic groups. Eighteen people have an unemployment rate of over 10%, and on average one out of every five people in these areas has lost their jobs. The black unemployment rate is as high as 18%, far exceeding the white’s 7.9%. Unemployment among young people is particularly serious, and their unemployment rate now exceeds 20%. Negroes are in a much worse position, with the unemployment rate as high as 46%, with almost one in two unemployed.
