笔者于1986年8月到1987年8月旅居于英国的Rothamsted试验站(Rothamsted Expermental Station),得到了参加大麦对硝酸离子吸收的生理,遗传的研究计划的机会。著名的英国Rothamsted试验站创立于1843年,它一直从事小麦等作物的施肥连用试验,至今也没有设立育种部门,但是,近年来,生化部设立了很多研究课题,正考虑将育种工作转向以基因操作为中心的生物工艺学。现在介绍一下Rothamsted试验站生化部最近的研究内容,并报告一下笔者参加的研究计划概要。生化部设置的目的是提高英国主要作物(小麦、大麦、油菜籽、甜菜、马铃薯)的产量和改善其品质的生理、生化的基础研究,实用化技术正在
At Rothamsted Expermental Station in the United Kingdom from August 1986 to August 1987, the author received an opportunity to participate in a physiological and genetic research program on barley nitrate uptake. The famous Rothamsted Test Station was founded in 1843. It has been engaged in fertilizing and testing crops such as wheat and has not set up a breeding department so far. However, in recent years, the Ministry of Biochemistry has set many research topics and is considering to shift its breeding work to gene transfer Operational-centric biotechnology. Let me now turn to the recent research done by the Rothamsted pilot biochemistry department and report on a summary of the research programs that I participated in. The biochemistry department is set up to improve the physiological and biochemical basic research on the yield and quality of the main crops in the UK (wheat, barley, rapeseed, sugar beet and potato). Practical technologies are being applied
