2013年澳大利亚国防白皮书中指出,为了提升陆军的火力、防护力和机动力,澳大利亚政府决定购买2700辆有防护和无防护的中型与重型车辆。作为澳大利亚陆军“陆地121”计划的3B阶段,拟购买的这批新式装备将用于替换现役的“乌尼莫格”、Mack和S-Liner系列卡车,以便进一步提升陆军战时支援和保障能力。根据计划,这批车辆将由莱茵金属·曼军用车辆公司澳大利亚分公司和Haulmark拖车公司澳大利亚公分司提供,主要用于输送人员和装备。
In the 2013 Australian Defense White Paper, the Australian government decided to buy 2,700 sheltered and unprotected medium- and heavy-duty vehicles in an effort to improve the Army’s firepower, defense and mobility. As part of Phase 3B of the Australian Army’s Land 121 program, the new equipment to be purchased will be used to replace active-duty Unimog, Mack and S-Liner trucks to further enhance Army Wartime Support and support capabilities. According to the plan, the vehicles will be supplied by Rheinmetall-Mann AG Australia and Haulmark Trailer Australia Division, mainly for the transportation of personnel and equipment.
