Australian ambassador to East Africa, Geoff Tooth said he has confirmed that the Australian government has agreed to help Uganda against the banana blight. When visiting the Banchetina Banana Industry Development Planning Board in Uganda, Tooth said he wanted Uganda to learn how Australia has succeeded in handling banana blight.
