大连市甘井子区档案工作在“九五”期间得到快速发展，被评为辽宁省档案工作先进集体。为认真总结“九五”经验，做好今年和“十五”时期的档案工作，为新世纪档案工作起好步、开好头，区委、区政府于４月１２日召开了镇、街道、区直部门领导和档案人员参加的档案工作座谈会。会上，区委、区政府主要领导和分管领导，以及部分镇、街道、区直部门领导都强调了做好档案工作的重要性。现摘编几篇发表，相信对各地有关领导都会有所启示。
