自1986年台湾空中大学开办以后,台湾的远程教育进入了一个全民终身教育的新时代。在这十几年中,随着时代的发展与科技的变革,台湾的远程教育已经进入了另一个新的里程。多元而灵活的网上教学形式得到飞速发展,带来的是更为激烈的高等教育的竞争,甚至威胁着个别院校的生存。面对社会和教育环境的挑战及社会人口条件的变迁,台湾的远程教育究竟应该如何突破困境,找寻出路?有哪些可使用的发展策略?本文将描述台湾远程教育的发展和现状,进而探讨远程教育所面临的困难和挑战,最后提出如何变挑战为机遇的策略。
Since the founding of Taiwan’s Air University in 1986, Taiwan’s distance education has entered a new era of universal lifelong education. In these 10 years, with the development of the times and the revolution in science and technology, distance education in Taiwan has entered another new milestone. The rapid and diversified and flexible online teaching forms have brought about more intense competition in higher education and even threatened the survival of individual institutions. In the face of the challenges of social and educational environment and the changes of social demography, how should distance education in Taiwan break through the predicament and find a way out and what strategies can be used? This article will describe the development and current situation of distance education in Taiwan, The difficulties and challenges that education faces, and finally put forward the strategy of how to turn challenges into opportunities.
