人体及其器官是人类认知的基础和出发点之一。“Mouth/口”作为人体的主要器官之一,对人的认知过程有着很重要的影响。本文基于认知语言学相关理论,利用语料库对英汉“Mouth/口”的隐喻用法进行了对比分析。发现“Mouth/口”都可投射到形状域、位置/地点域,数量/容器域、说话/言语域、情感/态度域。隐喻极大地丰富了英汉两种语言和文化内涵,增强了语言的表现能力和文化特色。
The human body and its organs are one of the foundations and starting points of human cognition. As one of the main organs of the human body, Mouth / mouth has a very important influence on human cognition. Based on the theory of cognitive linguistics, this paper uses the corpus to analyze the metaphorical usage of English and Chinese “Mouth / mouth”. Find “Mouth / mouth” can be projected to the shape domain, location / location domain, the number / container domain, speaking / speech domain, emotion / attitude domain. Metaphor has greatly enriched the two languages and cultural connotations of English and Chinese, and enhanced the performance ability and cultural features of language.
