自从“火车之父”——英国人斯蒂文森在1814年研制出第一台蒸汽机车以来,火车为人类带来了新的工业文明。在我国,铁路建设在国民经济中同样有着举足轻重的地位,为促进我国的经济和社会发展、改善人民生活做出了重要贡献。这一点,在普18《工农业生产建设图案普通邮票》中得到了很好的体现。普18《工农业生产建设图案普通邮票》自1977年3月15日起陆续发行,全套14枚邮票中,包括第一枚和最后一枚在内,共有4枚邮票上有火车。
The train has brought new industrial civilization to mankind since its birth as the “Father of Trains,” a British Stevenson who developed the first steam locomotive in 1814. In our country, railway construction also plays a decisive role in the national economy and has made important contributions to promoting our economic and social development and improving people’s livelihood.
