According to Sindiveg, Brazil’s pesticide sales growth in 2014 will be between 6% and 9% with a total value of about 13 billion U.S. dollars. Sales are driven mainly by soybean area growth. Soybean crop sales of about 5.86 billion US dollars, accounting for 51.3% of total sales. According to Ivan Sampaio, Sindiveg Information Manager, soybean crop products accounted for 49% of total pesticide sales in 2012, followed by a 3% increase in 2013.
