上海市气象档案馆于1986年4月1日创办(前身为上海市气象局气候资料室)。它是保存上海地区及部份国内外气象科技档案资料的基地,是科学研究、市政建设、能源利用、重大工程建设和其它各方面工作利用气象档案资料的中心。上海市气象档案馆馆藏档案具有历史悠久,系统性、连续性强的特点。馆内藏有1873年至今上海地面气象档案资料和1896年至今中国最早的天气图。档案资料连续,从未间断,在全国同行业专业档案馆中是少有的,为全国气象档案历史最长的档案馆之一。馆藏档案另一个特点是门类众多,内容丰富。藏有常规的地面、高空气象记录档案有气温、湿度、气压、风、降水、云、蒸发、地温、日照、冻土、日射等月、年记录和高空测风、探空记录月报等;各类天气
Shanghai Meteorological Archives was founded on April 1, 1986 (formerly Shanghai Meteorological Bureau climate data room). It is the base for preserving the meteorological science and technology archives in Shanghai and other parts of China. It is also the center for making use of meteorological archives for scientific research, municipal construction, energy utilization, major project construction and other aspects. The archives of Shanghai Meteorological Archives have the characteristics of long history, systematicness and continuity. Museum has 1873 years since the Shanghai meteorological archive data and since 1896 China’s earliest weather map. File information in a row, never stopped, in the same industry professional archives is rare, for the national meteorological archives one of the longest archives. Another feature of the collection file is a wide range of content, rich content.
