The current uranium mine survey development tends to increase the level of ground and airborne gamma spectrometry applications in order to better differentiate radioactive anomalies created by thorium, uranium and potassium. The Bland River uranium mine in Ontario was chosen as the test site for the calibration and use of a portable three-channel gamma spectrometer with the goal of developing a set of suitable
