踏入21世纪,艺术发展一日千里,艺术作品透过其独有的文化魅力与价值,打破种族与语言的阻隔,成为世界共通的语言。早在20世纪初,西方艺术已进入了快速发展的阶段,不同理念的艺术思潮与流派激烈地涌现及更替,从野兽派到立体主义、表现主义、抽象艺术、达达主义、超现实主义等,各种表现手段及艺术思维随时代发展更新,向多极方向不断伸延,彻底改变了传统艺术的审美及价值观,同时亦大大地拓展了艺术语言的形式与幅度。
