新世纪以来,云南省在尊重民族传统教育的基础上,坚持发展现代学校教育;通过双语教育提高各民族汉语文水平;有针对性地发展不同层次的教育,完善现代教育体系;通过重点扶持促进边疆民族教育均衡化发展;积极实施面向西南开放桥头堡教育战略,大力兴办民办教育,促进公办教育与民办教育协调发展。这些实践经验和工作特色,促进了云南省民族教育的跨越式发展和各民族人口素质的显著提升,对于其他民族地区也有借鉴和示范意义。
Since the new century, on the basis of respecting the traditional ethnic education, Yunnan Province has insisted on developing modern school education; improved the Chinese language proficiency of all ethnic groups through bilingual education; developed education at different levels in a targeted manner and improved the modern education system; and through the promotion of key support Balanced development of ethnic education in frontier areas; actively implement the educational strategy of opening up bridgehead for the southwest, vigorously establish private education, and promote the coordinated development of public education and private education. These practical experiences and working characteristics have promoted the leap-forward development of ethnic education in Yunnan Province and the significant improvement in the quality of the population of all ethnic groups. It also has reference and demonstration significance to other ethnic regions.
