与一般的商号账册不同,包括新加坡在内的东南亚华人社团账本具有社群属性,是华人社团为所属社群建立与书写的经济档案,具有非常重要的文献价值。本文以一个在新加坡华人社会舞台上扮演重要角色的华人社团——应和会馆为研究个案,运用该社团及其他相关华人社团保留下来的账本账册,透过对这些账本细致的爬梳、整理、分类与解读,并结合会议记录、章程等文献,在移民时代新加坡的时空环境下,具体考察与讨论二战前的新加坡华人社团。本文首次提出华人社团经济的概念,并讨论华人社团经济所具有的维持华人社会运作与凝聚整合华人社群的双重功能。
Different from the general trade books, the accounts of the Chinese community in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, have social attributes and are very important documentary values for establishing and writing economic archives for Chinese communities for their own communities. This article uses a case study of the Chinese association - Yinghe Hall, which plays an important role in the Chinese community in Singapore, to use the books of accounts maintained by the association and other relevant Chinese associations. By carefully combing and sorting out these accounts, Classification and interpretation, combined with the minutes, articles of association and other documents, in the immigration era of Singapore’s space-time environment, the specific inspection and discussion before World War II Singapore Chinese community. This paper first presents the concept of Chinese community economy and discusses the dual functions of Chinese community economy in maintaining the social functioning of Chinese and uniting and integrating the Chinese community.
