3月19日,诺贝尔物理学奖得主杨振宁获颁台湾大学荣誉博士。台湾大学校长杨泮池在致辞中表示,杨先生对宇称守恒律的透彻研究,以及“Yang-Mills规范场论”和“Yang-Baxter方程式”的提出都开启了物理和数学的历史新页,对人类文明贡献极巨。1922年10月,杨振宁出生于安徽合肥。1944年毕业于昆明西南联合大学物理研究所,1945年考取公费赴美求学,就读于芝加哥大学,后于1948年取得博士学位。1949年进入普林斯顿高等研究学院进行博士后研究。1954年杨振宁与罗伯特-米尔斯教授共同建构出“杨-米规范理论”(非阿贝尔规范)
