Objective: To investigate the expression of PTEN and P53 in non-muscle invasive bladder urothelial carcinoma and its clinical significance. Methods: Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of PTEN and P53 in 121 cases of bladder cancer before chemotherapy. The clinical data were followed up and analyzed the relationship between the expression and the tumor staging, grading and recurrence. Results: The positive expression of PTEN was 89.2% and the positive expression of P53 was 39.6% in 121 cases. Correlation analysis showed that the expression of P53 was significantly higher in stage T1 and higher grade tumors and positively correlated with tumor stage and grade (P <0.05). PTEN was less expressed in stage T1 and higher grade tumors and was negatively correlated with tumor stage Related (P <0.05). Survival analysis showed that the recurrence interval of bladder cancer was significantly correlated with the expression of P53, but not with the expression of PTEN. Conclusion: The positive expression of PTEN and P53 may provide a basis for clarifying the biological behavior of bladder tumor and determining the recurrence after operation.
