According to relevant statistics, 91% of the capital structure of the media in China is made by the media itself, 7% comes from the state budget and only 2% is raised by the society. This shows that China’s media market has been no capital outside the industry to enter. The annual income of the New York Times in the United States is basically equal to the sum of one-year advertising revenue of all newspapers in China. In the face of the challenges posed by China’s accession to the WTO, the media industry in China needs to have enough capital to become bigger and stronger. At the beginning of this year, the fund was jointly sponsored by Academic Committee of China Media Forum and Stein International Media Research Center. At the “2006 China Media Investment Annual Meeting”, the international investment institutions, investment and financing Experts and media representatives gathered together to jointly interpret the status quo of China’s media investment.
