In previous reports, the effect of strontium on caries was different. How did you interpret this inconsistent result? The authors hypothesized this test based on the theory that different salts of salt of one element might have different effects on caries. Strontium oxide, strontium nitrate, strontium chloride, strontium sulfate, strontium lactate hydrate [Sr (C_3H_5O_3) _2.3H_2O] and strontium fluoride were used in this experiment.
