Distinguished Delegates: On behalf of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, I report to the General Assembly. In the nine months since the first session of the First National People’s Congress (NPC) was held, the Standing Committee held 19 meetings, passed 40 resolutions and passed three hundred and thirty cases of appointment and removal of state staff.
