白忠德的散文创作,从自己的故乡开始,至今都紧紧围绕地理、情感、文学三重意义上的故乡和家园,《摘朵迎春花送你》《回望农民》《佛坪等你来》等散文集无不如此。他最新的两部散文集《斯世佛坪》和《我的秦岭邻居》,前者从情感上仍是“走不出这片土地”的延续,后者则在延续的同时进入“生态散文”这一新的领域。不过,其中也潜藏着需要注意的危险。无论如何,散文作为一种文学体裁,不能以某种类型来自我限制,而应当立足于文学,关注属于文学性本身的那些要素,尤其是微妙的细节,这是包括白忠德在内的所有写作者都应首先了然的。
