教育是培养人的活动,教育的目的是为了提高全民族的科学文化素质,培养和造就社会主义四化建设人才,是学校担负的一个根本任务。作为一个教育工作者,经过三十多年的工作实践,我认为:这个根本任务的完成,不仅需要依靠教师,而且需要依靠学生和学生干部。在新的世纪这一伟大变革的崭新历史时期,学生干部在学校工作中的地位和作用显得越来越重要,这已取得大家公认。
Education is the activity of cultivating people. The purpose of education is to raise the scientific and cultural qualities of the whole nation and to cultivate and bring up the talents for the building of the socialist economy. It is a fundamental task the school shoulders. As an educator, after more than three decades of work practice, I think: This fundamental task is accomplished not only by teachers but also by students and student leaders. In the brand-new historical period of great change in the new century, student cadres have become more and more important in the work of schools. This has gained everyone’s recognition.
