洒金珊瑚,又名东瀛珊瑚,为山茱萸科桃叶珊瑚属常绿丛生灌木。生长初期树皮绿色,平滑,后转为灰绿色;叶对生,叶面黄斑点点,酷似洒金。该花很耐阴,既可作花灌木陪衬布置庭院,又可作盆栽陈设室内,其枝叶还可用于瓶插。洒金珊瑚主要用扦插繁殖,春夏秋皆可,但以梅雨季节为最佳。扦插时选用一年生的半熟枝作插条,基部略带二年生枝条,长5寸左右,切口略倾斜,以扩大吸水和生根面积。扦插密度为2×5寸。苗床要选择蔽荫的地方,插后再搭棚遮荫。经常保持苗床湿润,插后40—50天可生新根,成活率一般
