压力蒸气灭菌化学指示带是用于辅助监测灭菌效果的，但我们在实践中发现，尽管在压力蒸气锅内物品的摆放，灭菌的时间、温度、压力均符合标准要求，甚至生物监测也完全符合标准要求时也有指示带变色不全的情况出现。为此作者对１９９７年５月－７月出现的７２件变色不全情况进行了调查，确定影响变色不全的原因是指示带受潮、过期、粘贴位置不当、被晒和打包不规范。对此提出了一些如何正确存放和使用指示带的建议，改进后未再出现变色不全
