1998年对于福建省包协来说,是极不平常的一年,在这一年里,根据市场经济发展的需要,福建省经贸委决定对福建省包装总公司进行改制,实行包装公司与包装协会经济和组织上的分离。改制对于今后包装公司和包装协会的发展,肯定是有利的,然而,现行的改制工作也给包装协会带来了很大困难。但是,在1998年里,福建省包协仍然在贯彻中国包协倡导的“自立、自养、自治”方针上,以及争取政府授权,加强包协组织建设,开展行业服务等方面作了一些有益的探索。
