英国科技政策支持组织(SPSG)是由英国经济和社会研究委员会发起,于1986年9月在伦敦创立的。作为慈善团体的科技政策支持组织是一个非盈利机构,由英国工程研究委员会及其它一些政府部门、企业界共同资助。英国科技政策支持组织的目标是: (1) 促进研究活动、智力活动和情报工作的发展; (2) 增强研究能力; (3) 在政策制定过程中扩大采用科技政策研究成果的范围; (4) 改善人们对英国科学技术系统的认识。
The UK Science and Technology Policy Support Organization (SPSG) was launched by the British Economic and Social Research Council in London in September 1986. The Technology Policy Support Organization, a charity, is a non-profit organization funded jointly by the British Engineering Research Council and other government agencies and businesses. The goals of the UK Science and Technology Policy Support Organization are: (1) to promote the development of research activities, intellectual activities and intelligence; (2) to enhance research capabilities; (3) to broaden the scope of adoption of S & T policy research results in the policy making process; (4) Improve people's understanding of the British system of science and technology.
