The 12th Asia Pacific Retailer Conference and Exhibition, hosted by China Chamber of Commerce, was grandly opened on September 6, 2005 in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The 12th Asia Pacific Retailers Conference and Exhibition, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by the China Business Federation, The Asia Pacific Retailer Conference & China Retail Expo 2005 opened on September 8 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. More than 3,700 delegates from 22 countries and regions in Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States attended the conference, marking the largest number of countries, regions and groups attending the conventions. Honorary Director of the Organizing Committee of the General Assembly and Vice Premier Wu Yi attended the opening ceremony and made important speeches. Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai, SASAC Director Li Rongrong, Beijing Mayor Wang Qi
