Objective To establish an animal model of firearm thoracolumbar spinal cord injury under high temperature and high humidity and observe the changes of vital signs after injury. Methods 24 Southern pigs were randomly divided into four groups: normal temperature control group, normal temperature firearm group, high temperature high humidity control group and high temperature high humidity firearm group. The injured animals were prone to injure. L1 vertebrae were selected as shooting points, Step firearm precision shooting. Post-injury changes in vital signs. Results The effects of high temperature and high humidity on the body temperature, respiration, blood pressure and heart rate after spinal cord injury were very significant. Rapid changes of vital signs caused by high temperature and high humidity and early respiration and circulatory failure are the important reasons leading to early death of animals. Conclusion The establishment of this model and the observed changes in vital signs provide a theoretical basis for studying the pathophysiological changes, early diagnosis and treatment of post-traumatic spinal cord injury in rats under high temperature and high humidity. Conditions of high temperature and humidity are the secondary attacking factors after the spinal firearm injury.
