9718A是以引进品种素保姆82开放授粉产生的不育株与内葵杂1号自交分离后代杂交并连续回交转育而成的油用型向日葵雄性不育系,9718A不育性稳定,经济性状好,异交结实率比较高,易于繁殖制种。利用该不育系与恢复系9706R配组,已育成杂交种陇葵杂1号,表现早熟、高产、优质,在1998~1999年区域试验中平均比对照G101增产9.68%。
