葫芦岛是中国东北一个不大的港口城市,曾经是侵华日军运送石油的地方。抗战胜利后,中国人民在交通不便、物资极度匮乏的条件下,全力帮助105万日本侨俘返回家园,许多日本侨民把这里视为他们的再生之地。如今,在葫芦岛残留的几座储油罐旁,矗立着一块石碑,记载着葫芦岛百万日本侨俘大遣返这段历史,纪念碑后有这样一段话:历史在这里为日本侵略中国以失败而告终画上了一个句号,也在这里为中国人民的宽容和善良留下了一座人道主义的丰碑。
Huludao is a small port city in northeastern China that was once the place where the Japanese army invaded China transported oil. After the victory of the war of resistance against Japan, the Chinese people, with their inaccessible transportation and extremely scarce supplies, fully assisted in the return of 1.05 million Japanese captives and returned home. Many Japanese expatriates regarded it as the place for their regeneration. Now, next to several remaining oil storage tanks on Huludao stands a stone tablet that records the repatriation of millions of Japanese overseas Chinese prisoners of war in Huludao. This monologue follows the passage of history: here history failed for Japan’s invasion of China And the end of the painting has come to an end. It is also here that we have left a humanitarian monument to the tolerance and kindness of the Chinese people.
