Think tanks are one of the areas where knowledge, intelligence and thinking are the most intensive. They are the display of human thinking and the distribution center of national wisdom. In today’s world, policymakers in all countries are increasingly relying on the power of think tanks when they focus on economic and social development and deal with major issues concerning internal affairs and diplomacy. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the building of China’s think tank has been booming, building its think tanks, developing its think tanks and using its think tanks. It has increasingly become the ideological consciousness and initiative of the entire party and society as a whole. On May 17, General Secretary Xi Jinping made an important speech at the symposium on philosophy and social sciences that pointed out that it is necessary to give full play to the important role played by philosophy and social sciences in governing state affairs. Special emphasis should be placed on the construction of think tanks
