橡胶树白粉病是我国植胶区的主要病害之一,严重时引起落叶,胶乳减产,造成相当大的经济损失。60年代以来一直沿用动力喷粉机喷撒硫磺粉进行防治,其效果是好的,对防病保胶起了积极作用。但是,现有的高扬程喷粉机大都比较笨重,不便于山地操作。云南大量使用的背负式喷粉机扬程不够高,施药效率相对较低,硫磺对人的眼睛有刺激,又有臭味,需要在机械和药剂上加以改进。
