老人社会的前景和养儿防老传统型家庭模式的破坏,使得老年养生住宅的出现成为必然,而其发展前景的好坏,是由市场需求决定的。老龄化社会挑战传统养老模式挑战人类的脚步踏入二十一世纪,人口老龄化问题也紧紧迫来。这位不速之客的“光临”已引起举世关注。预计2020年,全球60岁以上的老年人将达到10亿,约占全球总人口的20%。我国人口老龄化步伐正在加快,2000年底60岁以上老人就达到1.3亿。北京市早在十年前就进入人口老龄化城市,2000年底老龄人口达188万,预计2025年将达到465万,约占北京市总人口30%。说人口老龄化来势汹汹,并不是危言耸听。
