王中军,1985年从国家机关辞职,从事美术设计,做摄影师。1989年到美国密歇根大学读传媒。1994年回国和弟弟一起创立华谊兄弟广告公司,开始拍电视剧,如《罪证》、《心理诊所》、《永恒恋人》等。1998年开始做电影,投资拍摄的第一部影片是《鬼子来了》,后有《没完没了》、《一声叹息》等。2000年12月,成立华谊兄弟太合影视投资公司,任公司总裁。2001年1月,成立华谊兄弟太合文化经纪有限公司;之后出品《刮痧》、《大腕》、《天地英雄》、《寻枪》、《手足情》。2002年出品《卡拉是条狗》、《我心飞翔》、《理发师》。2003年出品《手机》。2004年出品《天下无贼》、《功夫》、《可可西里》、《短信一月追》。正向产业化转型的中国电影舞台上,群雄登场,各显其能,而在各种体制与观念的角逐与交错中,一支民营大军特有的想像力和生存业绩,越来越引人注目——这就是已在整个国产电影的制片营销大盘中占据了半壁江山的民营电影。学院大讲堂特别邀请这个民营方阵的标志性人物——华谊兄弟影视公司总裁王中军先生为我们讲述他的公司与中国民营电影的发展之路,相信会使大家从中引出对中国电影现实和前景的多向位思考。
