刘恒(中国书协理事、学术委员会副主任、展览部主任):这个展览在当代书法领域应该是很特殊、也很有意义的一个活动。两位参展的主人公,不仅在书艺上有相当高的造诣,同时支撑他们书法成就更多的是来自他们的学养和学术的造诣。今天下午召开这样一个研讨会,它的意义在于以书法展览为依托,通过研讨使我们书法界乃至整个社会对于书法艺术的认知和理解有一个更高的提升,特别是中国书法作为传统艺术的门类,它本身所蕴含的学术和文化的内涵在书法艺术上的体现,需要我们当代人更深刻的了解和阐释、而这种了解和阐释要依靠我们这些研究书法的专家从中发掘和解释。所以我们今天的讨论会就是在这样一个背景或者说这样一个前提下来展开的。

The two protagonists, not only have a very high attainments in calligraphy and art, but also support their calligraphy achievement more from their academic and academic attainments.
