第四,我们党有巩固的领导地位,要充分发挥这一政治优势。邓小平同志强调,坚持四项基本原则的核心是坚持党的领导。西方的多党制不符合中国国情。对党内外任何企图削弱、摆脱、取消、反对党的领导的倾向,必须进行批评、教育以至必要的斗争。为了坚持党的领导,必须努力改善党的领导。在当代中国,只有坚持党的领导,才能把坚持四项基本原则同坚持改革开放有机结合起来,有效地组织社会主义政治、经济、军事和文化建设,坚持两手抓、两手都要硬的方针,保证社会的全面发展和进步,才能建设成有中国特色的社会主义;才能正确处理改革、发展、稳定的关系,排除“左”右干扰,把改革的力度、发展的速度和社会可承
Fourthly, our party should have a solid leadership and give full play to this political advantage.
