在中国科技协会的大力支持下。由中国地质学会、中国地震学会、中国气象学会、北京天文学会、中国石油学会和中国空间科学学会等六个学会的有关专业委员会于1983年11月19—24日在北京香山联合召开了全国天文、地质、地震、气象相互关系学术讨论会。来自70余个工作单位的120名正式代表和40余名特邀与列席代表参加了讨论会。提交论文报告130篇。中国科学院学部委员、中国地质学会理事长黄汲清致开幕词。学部委员李春昱,张文佑、翁文波、丁国瑜等出席了开幕式。
