政務院第十四次會義聽取了鐵道部滕代遠部長關於一九五○年鐵路工作計劃的報告,認爲一九四九年的鐵路工作,在修複鐵路、橋樑,完成軍運及客貨運輸任務,對支援戰爭及國家經濟恢復,增強物資交流,是有根大成績的。鐵道部一九五○年以恢復尚未通車的鐵路,補強已修復的鐵路上必不可少的技術設備,以保證必須負擔的運輸任務爲主的方針,是正確的。政務院對這個方針及其全部運輸、修建計劃,已予批准。鐵道部應即根據已批准的計劃概要,制定一九五○年更具體的工作計劃,並分季度、月別保證實施,務使人力、物力、財力作到精確合理的分配與使用。
