松树镇煤矿瓦斯爆炸和邵阳市标准件厂锅炉爆炸、勃海2号翻船，是去年发生的重大责任事故。时至今日，前一起虽经审判，却是重罪轻判；后两起尚未依法处理。我们完全支持刘海亮、继兴两同志和邵阳市标准件厂锅炉爆炸事故死者家属的意见，对事故的责任者必须依法严肃处理。 我们认为，这些事故可以说是不顾客观可能，不尊重科学，违章蛮干的典型，是林彪、“四人邦”散布的极左思潮在工业生产中的反映。对这些事故的责任者若不依法处理，怎能纠正违章蛮干，实现安全生产，确保四化建设。
Songshu coal mine gas explosion and Shaoyang City Standard Factory boiler explosion, Bohai No. 2 capsized, was a major accident occurred last year. Up till now, despite the trial together, the felony was a minor conviction; the latter two cases have not yet been dealt with according to law. We fully support the views of Liu Haiang, Jixing two comrades and the families of deceased persons of Boiler Explosion at Standard Parts Factory of Shaoyang City, and those responsible for the accident must handle it strictly in accordance with the law. In our opinion, these accidents can be said to be typical of disregard of objective possibility and disrespect for science and illegal conduct. They are a reflection of the ultra-leftist ideological trends spread in Lin Biao and the “gang of four” in industrial production. If those responsible for these accidents do not handle the matter in accordance with the law, they can rectify their illegal activities and achieve safe production so as to ensure the four modernizations.
