Taiwan Hongqi Group Corporation was founded in September 1976 with a capital of 1 million yuan (NT, the same below) and 11 employees. Since the company was listed in Taiwan’s “Top Ten” magazine list of the top 1000 companies in 1985, its products, markets, and funds have continued to expand, and the reputation of “Hongqi” has thus risen. In the same year, it defeated the “giant” of Taiwan’s information electronics industry, Taiwan’s Shentong Computer Company, with a turnover of 4.8 billion yuan, becoming Taiwan’s largest computer manufacturer. At present, the group is based on “Hongqi Computer” and owns such related companies as “Hongqi Stock”, “Mingqi Computer”, “Hongda Venture Capital” and “Third Wave Culture Business”, with a total capital of 10.4 billion yuan. More than 5,000 people, business projects include personal computers, home appliances, and peripheral equipment design.
