我国著名数学教育家丁尔升指出:“使用微机学生能够解决与他们日常生活有关的现实问题和能够激发他们对数学产生持久的兴趣。微机能把教师解放出来去完成只有教师才能完成的任务,比如和学生一起去探索、猜想。微机提供了一种动态的画图手段,它还提供了许多有效的途径去表达数学思想。”在数学教学中使用微机,已在世界范围内引起广泛的重视。近年来,在几次重要的国际数学教育会议上,微机的运用,都是重要的研究内容。如何在小学数学教学中使用微机,在我国还是一个新课题。桓台县实验小学,通过赴德国考察访问,借鉴国内外成功经验,在这方面进行了有益的尝试。
