在欧美,从事制造供大批大量加工自动线的厂商有80多家,其中美国35家、西德25家 (不包括美国的分公司)、英国9家、意大利7家、法国4家以及其它几家。在最近的5～7年里,美国每年制造600～700条自动线(根据美国公布的材料,自动线中包括综合自动线和多工位组合机床单机)。在西德、英国、法国、意大利和日本,分别每年制造近300条自动线。1968年美国机械制造业中使用了2500条自动线,而到1973年则为10931条,其中包括5846台多工位组合机床(中央立柱式、回转工作台式和鼓轮式)。在新建和扩建的工厂中,自动线的投资占设备总投资的30％左右。
In Europe and the United States, there are more than 80 manufacturers engaged in the manufacture of large quantities of automated processing lines, of which 35 are in the United States, 25 in West Germany (excluding the U.S. branches), 9 in the United Kingdom, 7 in Italy, 4 in France and several others . In the recent 5-7 years, the United States has manufactured 600 to 700 automated lines per year (automatic lines include integrated stand-alone and multi-station machine tools, according to US published material). In West Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Japan, nearly 300 automated lines are manufactured annually. In 1968, the United States used 2,500 automatic lines in the machinery manufacturing industry, compared with 10,931 in 1973, including 5,846 multi-station machine tools (center column, swivel table and drum). In new and expanded plants, automatic line investment accounts for about 30% of total equipment investment.
