本文对庄学本田野考察工作在20世纪中国边地民族研究中的影响和意义进行了初步探讨,指出他对土族神箭崇拜与神鹏信仰习俗、凉山安宁河流域大石墓、嘉绒藏族民间文化、边地民族法律、彝族传说、边地农具、地震史等问题的首次发现、记录和研究在边地民族研究史上具有不可忽略的意义与学术价值。本文同时认为,庄学本田野考察工作在一定程度上也折射出20世纪上半期中国人类学发展的学术思潮,值得深入研究。
