随着全球化发展,对于中国的大学生来说,英语语言起到了举足轻重的作用。语言不仅是交流的工具,也是文化的重要载体。由于东西方文化的差异,对大学英语的教学带来了严峻考验。在提高交流能力的同时,对于西方文化知识的了解意义重大。所以,以中西方文化异同为前提,研讨西方文化在大学英语教学方面所起到的重要作用,很有必要。
With the development of globalization, the English language plays a decisive role for college students in China. Language is not only a tool of communication, but also an important carrier of culture. Due to the differences between Eastern and Western cultures, the college English teaching has brought a severe test. While improving communication skills, understanding of Western cultural knowledge is of great significance. Therefore, taking the similarities and differences between Chinese and western cultures as a premise, it is necessary to study the important role played by western culture in college English teaching.
