1982年11月初,在这中县老观坨吴家岗子村发现了一处战国刀币窖藏。该窖藏位于吴家岗子村西侧1公里处,蒲河大堤东300余米处(图一)。窖藏是当地学生挖鼠洞时发现的,为一方形土坑,距地表深1米左右,长宽各2米,周围似有夯土痕迹。刀币本身无陶器等物盛姨,发现其柄端圆环处是用皮条穿连,皮条已腐朽,其外部残留麻布包痕。出土的刀币共重15.45公斤,约930余枚,其完整者只占二分之一左
