巨灾一直威胁着人类的生存和发展,尽管人类的力量已经足够强大,但在巨灾面前还是显得不堪一击。2008年震惊世界的“5·12”汶川大地震,使世人惊醒,在强大的自然力量下,生命在瞬间消逝,家园顷刻间化为废墟……,我们所能做的只是救助、捐款……,这也从一个侧面反映出我国巨灾保险的缺位。如果灾难发生后有保险的赔偿和给付,那么将给人们的生产生活带来希望。
