导演刘杰通过都市与底层间的光影对比阐释了电影主题——片尾黑夜中闪动的“眼睛”印证着这是一则由底层欲望沦陷、与上层产生阶级血腥抗衡的现实寓言,这也正是电影的现实价值:刘杰用镜头发现了陷溺于底层的欲望的眼睛,盈溢着对于城市文明的向往与艳羡,可一旦“眼睛”真正介入城市,它们必然受到城市暴力的戕害,直至最终的死亡。
