Caudate nucleus and central gray matter in acupuncture analgesia have an important role. Microinjection of naloxone into central gray matter partially blocked the analgesic effect of the caudate nucleus, suggesting that caudate nucleus analgesia may be related to the central gray endorphin system. In order to further study the role of the caudate nucleus in acupuncture analgesia, provide the basis for the experimental analysis of clinical “caudate nucleus buried electrode stimulation treatment of pain”.
