北师大版《义务教育课程标准实验教科书·数学》七年级上册第173页“试一试”,是一道开放性的数学应用题。由此加以适当的变化就可以得到2005年“卡西欧杯”全国初中数学竞赛试题第11(A)题:8个人乘速度相同的两辆小汔车同时赶往火车站,每辆车乘4人(不包括司机)。其中一辆小汽车在距离火车站15千米的地方出现故障,此时距停止检票的时间还有42分钟。这时惟一可利用的交通工具是另一辆小汽车,已知包括司机在内这辆小汽车限乘5人,且这辆车的平均速度是60千米/小时,人步行的平均速度是5千米/小时。试设计一种方案,通过计算说明这8个人能够在停止检票前赶到火车站。
